There's Carrie!
And now onto other news:
No baby ever loved starting solids as much as Elizabeth. She screams between bites because I'm just not fast enough! Isn't she cute?
Finally, Cannon starts Kindergarten on Tuesday. Can't really believe it. I thought since he's been in preschool longer than any other kid EVER, this wouldn not be a strange new thing for me. He's been wanting to be in Kindergarten since last fall when all his pals started without him (fall birthday!). Now, we move to Utah and it's only half-day here, so what's the big deal? But I just feel like he's starting this new chapter that will sort of be a new chapter for all of us. A new mode, ya know? And that has made me surprisingly weepy. It's just accelerating, you know? He's getting so big and I can't stop it and I can't coax him back into former stages. Why didn't I enjoy the superman stage a bit more? Why didn't I always take him up on every opportunity to snuggle? Now he's getting less snuggly and more independent. It kills me. He promised me he wouldn't grow up! So here's to our last day as a carefree family without kids in school!
Some memories...

It really does happen so fast. Why didn't I take more pictures and document it a little better?? But it does keep getting more and more fun.
How fun that you have such a fun group from high school. Glad you got to savor some time with them.
tomorrow is the big day? can't wait to hear all about it. of course, since he only has 1/2 day there, he'll probably be away from home for less time than he was at preschool!
i'm just getting ready to go out the door to take kendall to her first day of the second WEEK of 1st grade! berkeley keeps asking me "why does MY school not start yet?" I ask myself the same thing! (it starts after labor day)
what fun to get together with your old HS friends! i bet that video was hilarious!
good luck in kindergarten Cannon!! he looks so big in the last picture. and serious too.
is henry going to go to preschool this year?
I really love you Heather--and all of those girls pictured above. We were just so so lucky to have found each other all those years ago. And I loved that old movie too--so much fun to see it the other night.
And the kindergarten thing--I have been pretty weepy about it myself. It just signals such a huge change in our lives forever--and my little guy is growing too fast! I adore those sweet pics of Cannon through the ages--he is such a doll.
It must be such a blessing to have roots? I would not know; I moved so many time. I attended three high schools. I know there are blessing also that come from being stretched and pulled by moving. :)
Cannon is very handsome! I am sure all the mormon ladies are so excited to have him in their class.
love,
cl
Can't wait to hear how Cannon's first day of Kindergarten was for the both of you.
We were driving down Sardis Rd. North a couple of days ago and Miles said, "Ahh...This is where Cannon used to live. I still cry about it sometimes." What a nutcase.
We miss you guys and hope school and preschool start off great! Gray starts tomorrow and I couldn't be happier--does that make me a bad mom?
Last weekend was so great! Thanks to you and Carrie for getting us all together. We really had (have) such an amazing group of HS friends. At the time we didn't know how lucky we were.
Your little boy is a doll. Good luck to him (and you) with school this year!
Wow...Cannon has grown up so much since we last saw you guys. What a handsome guy he is! And I love the Elizabeth picture. We are just getting ready to attack the rice cereal at our house. She is so beautiful! Hope everything is well!
Cute pictures! See you tomorrow!
Hi Heath, good to hear from you. When do we get to see some updates on your blog:) Things are good, Nate took the job with St. Marks, we look forward to moving back mid June. Let me know about the marathons if your serious. They will be my 3rd and 4th - can't wait!! I'm hoping we are back for the one in June, since I already registered. Elsa starts Kindergarten prep this summer and kindergarten in the fall, I can't believe it either. Time flies. Glad to be finishing residency. I'm starting a PhD program in the fall and very excited. It's in the field of International politics. Give me a call I'd love to chat and catch up, my phone is 801-300-9963. Take care!!
