Right now, Cannon and Henry equate Utah with all that is good in the world. Life seems to stop in it's tracks when we deboard the plane. Utah means Santa Clause and skiing, cabins and gingerbread contests. It encompasses school-free cousins, new puppies, Elmo-snowmen and movies, restaurants and special dinners (free from forced vegetables), one-hour church and naps on the fly. It's where dad never has to go to work, mom never gets calls about Young Women, and the mysterious appearance of candy in odd places like Grandma's cupboard or at the bottom of your sock happens with frequency.
I know what's going on. This is grandma and grandpa's (both sides) calculated attempt to lure us back home! Well, now you know it's working. We always leave with an overabundance of happy memories to take home, missing each of you just a little bit more. What a surprise it would be for Cannon if we moved back and he still had to eat his vegetables, change his underwear, eat leftovers, and have a "quiet time" every day. He'd wonder where all the movies, museums and snowmobiles went. Hopefully, we'd still be able to squeeze a normal amount of that in, too.
Anyway, we love you!
-Heather

I know what you mean Heather. We even live here but the holidays at Nanny's at Grandma's Bobbi's are super alluring for my kids too, especially because schedules and daily, calm times at home are totally out the window--and the kids love it!!
I am so glad I got to see you and have a classic random "adventure" together (I hope you haven't worried to much about that...) Love and miss you!
we agree about the utah lure. my mom loves spoiling the kids while they are home. michael always look forward to the next scheduled trip to utah.
we would be hard-pressed not to return to utah...
Looks like a few of the UMED '06 network is catching up! You boys are so dang cute. Remember when they were SO little??? That seems like yesterday. Anyway, thought I'd say hey and hope all is well over there in the "warm" country...

Heather-Hey! I found your blog in the most random way. It would take too long to explain it so I won't. Anyway, I'm glad your family is doing well. I just laughed when I read that Cannon changes his clothes often. My son James does the same thing. It drives me crazy. We are having our third boy in two months. I feel so lucky to be blessd with 3 boys!!! I never thought I would learn so much about super hero's! Take care.
